About our Register
All our registrations are processed through our main office at Waiotapu. This is a new initiative and the registration form has been designed to be easier to read and complete. There is an added addition of choosing a marae affiliation, this is purely for voting rights in the elections of Marae representatives to the Runanga Governance Board.
Registering your Whanau
You are encouraged to register by filling in the registration form below. It is important to register all whanau members, including every dependent child. This will enable you and your whanau to be kept up to date with iwi newsletters and allow a voting right in the election of a Marae representative to the board. Young adults aged 17 years and over should fill out their own form.
Whakapapa Details
On the front page there is provision to include up to six generations of whakapapa of Ngati Tahu-Ngati Whaoa, if you can. Two or three generations back may be all that is necessary for kuia/koroua (elderly) to enable the validators to recognise and validate. But three or more generations may be necessary for tamariki/mokopuna (children/grandchildren).
